Dead Cold

Dead Cold, by SUE LEATHER (2006)

This week I read Dead Cold. This book was a mystery story. I wrote down three quotes and will discuss them. The first one is: “In January they found the girl’s body” (p.1). I like this sentence because I was shocked by reading this sentence at the beginning of the story. The second one is: “‘You’re next, Detective Laine,’ he said. ‘Time to die.’” (p.42). I was very surprised to know who the killer was. And the killer tried to kill the detective too. I was scared but excited. The third one is: “Yes, life was good” (p.48). I like this sentence because she experienced a lot of things but at the end she was positive.

I want to recommend this book. I challenged this kind of book for the first time. This book was a little easy but readable. So I can enjoy reading this. I give this book 8 stars out of 10.

SKY JACK !

SKY JACK !, by TIM VICARY(2000)

This week I read SKY JACK !. This book was very thrilling story. I wrote down two quotes and will discuss them. The first one is: “Then, one by one, he put the pieces of wet paper into his mouth and ate them. In ten minutes, the passport had disappeared” (p.13). I was very surprised to see this sentence but I thought this was interesting. The second one is: “There was blood in his mouth and one of his teeth was broken” (p.38). This expression conveys a sentence of urgency on the spot. I though it’s the exciting scene.

I want to recommend this book. It was a little scared for me, but very interesting. I was thrilled and excited. I give this book 8 stars out of 10.

Matilda

I read "Matilda" this week. Matilda is a very clever little girl, but her terrible parents don't like her and her head teacher...
