Free Time Around the World
I read “Free Time Around the World” this week. I know what Japanese people do in free time but I didn’t know what foreign people do so I was interested in it.
What do you do in your free time? I will tell you some things which I learned from this book. The first one is reading. All around the world, people like to read books, newspapers, magazines, and comic books. I read a lot of books when I was a elementary school student but I rarely read it now in my free time. I think reading books is very important to get a lot of information and get great sensibility. And manga started in Japan, but it’s now popular in many countries. Manga is loved by people all over the world.
The second one playing sports. Soccer is a big part of life in Brazil and there’s a lot of time for snow sports in the north of Canada because winter is from September to June. Furthermore, Tae kwon do is a national sport in South Korea, basketball is the most popular team sport in the USA and Australian people enjoy beach sports. Like these, a lot of people in the world enjoy various sports in their free time. I also like playing sports and I think it is good for my health by exercising.
I could enjoy knowing free time around the world so I would like to know another things in all over the world.

How to Stay Healthy
This book is written about how to stay healthy. So I will tell the contents of it.
These can be roughly divided into three. First, it is right food. Carbohydrates give our bodies energy. Fiber helps to move food through our stomachs and intestines. Moreover, Proteins help our muscles to grow and we need calcium for healthy bones and iron for healthy blood. However, we don’t have to eat too much food with sugar, fat, and salt. In Japan, people eat lots of rice, vegetables, and fish. This food has lots of fiber and vitamins and it doesn’t have much fat.
Second, it is exercise. Do you know why exercise is good? I could understand it by reading this book. Exercise helps to make our bones and muscles stronger. It also protects us from health problems. Furthermore, it makes us feel good, and it even helps us to work better at school. So we need to do exercise even if it isn’t a long time.
Third, it is rest. Our body needs to time to repair our muscles and to make them bigger. And we need to sleep so that our brain can rest.
I think it is very important to stay healthy so I should be careful in daily life. Especially, food, exercise and rest is necessary to build a strong body.

Lesson 2 (October 7th)
Today, I learned about motivation. I’m suffering from low motivation now so the topic of today’s class was very interesting. I thought it was important to set clear goals because I can’t have motivation if there were no goals. We should take online classes so my motivation is low. However, If I set clear goals, my motivation will go up!
Moreover, I think the idea for going up motivation is to separate time. I can’t concentrate long time so it is effective to concentrate short time. And it is important to continue it. Then, I think that motivation will go up without feeling stress.
