BRITISH LIFE

I read "BRITISH LIFE" this week. This book has a lot of pictures so I was very excited. This book describes various aspects of life in British, including geography, business, sports, food and so on, so I was able to get a lot of information and know new things. Especially, I was interested in food about British. This book introduces how to make scones and tells British people drinks too much tea a day. I want to make scones and eat them with tea!!

The black cat and other stories

I read "The black cat and other stories" this week. This book has four stories, "The black cat", "The Oval Portrait", "Berenice" and "The Mask of the Red Death". All of these were very interesting but I will talk about "The black cat" here. This story was very scary and thrilling so I was able to enjoy reading this book from beginning to end. The husband addicted to alcohol killed his loving wife and black cat. Then, the black cat took revenge on him and he was arrested by the police. I think we should look after people and animals around us well.

The Canterville Ghost

I read "The Canterville Ghost" this week. A rich American family buy an old English mansion and they start to live there. However, there is a terrible ghost there. The ghost tries to scare the family away, but it doesn't work. One day, The ghost talks with a kindness girl in the family and he touches her love. After I read this book, my heart became warm.

Anne of Green Gables

I read "Anne of Green Gables" this week. I think everyone knows this book but I have not ever read this so I wanted to read this. Marilla and Matthew wanted a boy from the orphanage to help them on their farm. However, a girl is waiting for them. It was Anne. Her smartness and kindness changed everybody's life and wins everybody's love. This book made me warm and happy!
